If there's one thing that Rockstar Games can consistently rely on, it's the complaints of the Grand Theft Auto community. Whether it's moaning about the wait between GTA V and GTA 6 or a GTA+ price hike, it's the general state of GTA Online.

We'll admit that the GTA Online you see today is a far cry from the online multiplayer that launched in 2013, with the introduction of Heists in 2015 being the major turning point. Despite Rockstar being accused of flogging a dead horse, the bank that GTA Online still makes means it's not going anywhere just yet.

Rockstar scrambles to fix GTA Online exploit

The official Rockstar Support account confirmed that it's disabled Casino Heists on PC, with a "vulnerability" leading to them being pulled offline. The full post doesn't directly mention what the issue is here, but it's yet another L for GTA Online on PC while its console counterparts fly.

Rockstar explains, "GTA Online PC players will not be able to access Casino Heists or setup the Arcade Property until a permanent fix is in place. We will update players as soon as more information is available," although there's not much hope for when that update will come.

When the news was shared on Reddit, fans had their own theories about what's going on. "Rumour has it, it’s another RCE exploit, related to modders being able to alter your character stats ie. bad sport status, money, character appearance etc," said one player.

"Edit: to make matters worse, it seems this RCE exploit also has control of stealing files from victims PCs as well as being able to open applications on the victims PC." Others have been reporting issues that suggest it's a remote access issue, which is obviously a major problem.

Fans were furious at the state of GTA Online on PC. "R* will do everything but fix real issues for PC players," grumbled one, while another added, "Well it's official. They are really hating PC users." Someone concluded, "HAHAHAHA what a dumpster fire company, seriously this is dishonest asset management at least at this point."

As Casino Heists are a beloved part of GTA Online, we hope a fix is a top priority for the developers. Then again, looking at how Rockstar put Red Dead Online out to pasture, and PC players are usually at the bottom of the list, we're not exactly brimming with confidence.
