Despite climbing the criminal ladder of San Andreas and pulling off heists in Grand Theft Auto, remember that at its core, it's still an automotive adventure. From the early top-down days under DMA Design to GTA Online, vehicles have always been at the forefront of the franchise.
It's been 11 years since GTA V raced into our lives with the likes of the Rat-Loader and the Insurgent Pick-Up, with GTA Online adding even more to the roster. As we rev our engines in anticipation of GTA 6, fans are coming up with their own weird and wonderful vehicular wishlist.
GTA 6 vehicle wishlist is the stuff of dreams
Over on the GTA 6 subreddit, u/KhostfaceGillah asked what vehicles we'd like to see. The OP said they'd like to see a return of the combine harvester that CJ drove in GTA: San Andreas. The top comment calls for a hot air balloon, and what better way to see all of the hard work Rockstar has put into making this new and improved Vice City?
Another asked about electronic scooters, and given Rockstar's tendency to poke fun at society, the divisive nature of these makes them even more likely. There was another call for a San Andreas throwback after skateboards were cut from the 2004 game.
Someone pointed out, "This made me realize that this will be the first GTA game with the notion of Ubers. Taxis have always been a big part of GTA so it’s only natural that Ubers will play a big role," while a reply suggested the company should be called 'Goober'.
We love the idea of an ice cream truck (bring back Mr Whoopee) or rollerblades to travel quicker by foot, while the suggestion of adding a Zamboni is criminally underrated. Remembering those old rumours about destructible environments, there are obviously a lot of calls for bulldozers and garbage trucks to cause carnage.
With GTA 6 tipped to be the biggest outing yet, it only stands to reason that there will be more vehicles than ever. Also, as Rockstar has had so long to come up with these outlandish vehicles, we're expecting the unexpected when GTA 6 launches in 2025.
