There's a new map coming to Warzone, and fans are already in two minds about Fortune's Keep. On one hand, new content is always exciting, especially in a live-service game that needs constant engagement to keep running. Warzone has surprised us with new content before, and has practically reinvented the game with its new innovations.
On the other, fans are nervous that introducing this new map is the final nail in the coffin for the beloved Rebirth Island map, with the new arrival expected to squeeze it out of rotation. But, the change could be worth it - and a new look at what's to come could prove it.
What Fortune's Keep POIs Does Warzone Have?
We've finally got our first look at the upcoming map for Warzone, and safe to say, Fortune's Keep has plenty of interesting POIs for players to parachute into action and explore.
The Fortune's Keep map has had its bird's-eye view released on the official Call of Duty Twitter page, and it looks incredibly similar in size and scope to Rebirth Island - the map it's looking to replace. Fortune's Keep has 13 named POIs, which are; Terraces, Keep, Bay, Graveyard, Gatehouse, Winery, Town, Grotto, Overlook, Smuggler's Cove, Lighthouse, and Camp.
The Winery looks to be the biggest of all, but equally, the Lighthouse looks compelling. If you ever wanted to batter seagulls and go mad in your isolation in Warzone, lucky you because you could finally have your chance.
Fans React To Fortune's Keep POIs
Yet, of course, not everyone is happy. Fans have reacted to the reveal of this new map, and not all of the reactions are particularly favourable. One disgruntled gamer wrote, "No one is happy with this, is very caldera-ish stop forcing us to play that awful map," while another simply said, "Looks like Rebirth just a little different."
As is standard, Warzone fans are hard to please - and this new map isn't really breaking that trend. Still, its release could end up changing some minds. Maybe the time has come to let go of Rebirth Island for good, as hard as it is to say. Rest in power, you lovely little slab of rock.
