The current season of Fortnite is in full swing, and given how much content we keep getting, it's a miracle that it hasn't been broken up into multiple seasons.
Fortnite seems keep getting better, and with every new addition - whether it be new Star Wars quests or the arrival of the lock-on pistol - it grows exponentially seemingly every week.
But, it looks like a brand-new overhaul of the game's NPCs could be on the cards for the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.
NPCs in cars may be coming to Fortnite
According to reputable Fortnite dataminer and leaker Shiina, there may be a whole new type of NPC coming to the game. The new version of the NPC characters that already exist in the game have been discovered in the game's files, and they look to offer a different element of gameplay.
According to the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 leak, the NPCs will spawn armoured cars. Although their intention isn't listed in the tweet revealing the news, there's every chance this could make for some revamped gameplay with hostile NPCs.
NPCs could come in on players to attack them, or maybe players could even pay them a taxi fee to take them somewhere protected in the beefy cars - but we'll have to wait until their release to truly understand them.
New Fortnite datamine reveals new skins
Shiina goes on to reveal that the same datamine has unveiled some new skin codenames - indicating that skins currently named GalaxyLevel, HighBeam, FrozenReality, AgentSherbert, and a "very customizable" Pencil skin will be coming to the game.
Let's also remember that Chapter 4 Season 3 is tipped to have a desert theme, meaning we could be crossing sandy horizons in armoured cars or those rumoured surfboard vehicles. It all sounds more like a Call of Duty: Warzone map, but if you can't beat them, join them.
Away from summer-themed overhauls, it sounds like another Spider-Man crossover could be coming to cash in on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It's plenty to look forward to, as though we needed more reasons to be excited about a new Fortnite season. Bring on the brutal taxi service.
