Fallout New Vegas Free Steam Lenovo

If Fallout: New Vegas has somehow escaped your Steam library for the last 16 years, Lenovo is about to fix that, as it's giving away free Steam keys for the game on Wednesday, December 2.

The giveaway runs through the Lenovo Legion Gaming Community and it's open worldwide, but GamingHQ reports the keys are limited and handed out through a queue, so it's very much a case of first come, first served.

When does the Fallout: New Vegas giveaway start?

The claim opens at 5pm UK time on December 2 (12pm Eastern) on Lenovo's Game Key Drops page, and the claim widget only appears once the giveaway has started, so you'll need to refresh the page at that point rather than sitting on an old tab.

How to claim Fallout: New Vegas for free

  1. Create a free Lenovo Legion Gaming Community account before the day.
  2. Make sure you've got a Twitch account with a verified email address.
  3. At 5pm UK time on December 2, refresh the giveaway page and join the queue if there is one.
  4. Complete the Twitch follow step and link your Legion Gaming Community account when asked.
  5. Redeem the voucher you're given at Gamesplanet to get your Steam key, then activate it in Steam.

Lenovo also says you'll need cookies enabled for the claim to work, so if you run a lot of browser extensions it's a good idea to switch the fussier ones off for a few minutes.

Time to patrol the Mojave

According to GamingHQ, the key is for the base game, so don't expect story add-ons like Dead Money or Old World Blues to come with it. Once it's activated, though, it's yours to keep, and it's still one of the best RPGs ever made even if it does occasionally fall apart at the seams in classic Obsidian fashion.

Well, war never changes, but the price of New Vegas is about to, so set yourself a reminder for December 2. We'll update this page if Lenovo shares any more details before then.
