Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is getting ready to find a new home as it sounds like an Xbox One version is finally on the way. Well, we say finally - Fall Guys has only been out for a month. Could anyone really have predicted the runaway success of Mediatonic's squishy superstar?

Since Fall Guys' release, it has smashed records as the best-selling PlayStation Plus game of all time and topped League of Legends to become the most-viewed game on Twitch.

Despite critics claiming Fall Guys will run out of steam soon, developers have aimed to prove naysayers wrong and given a peek at the Medieval-themed Season 2. That's all well and good, but what about branching out beyond the reins of PC and PlayStation 4?

With calls for Mediatonic to embrace the likes of Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, at least some players could be in luck.

Fall Guys coming to Xbox One

Posting on Twitter @thetiny has looked deep into the code and claimed the current build of Fall Guys is compatible with Xbox One. The specific line of code that reads, "GetXboxOneUserIDFromUnityJoystick", is the big talking point here.

It's important to remember this isn't an actual confirmation of an Xbox One release, but a pretty good indication one is on the way. Developers often make games "ready" for other platforms prior to announcing them.

If the rumours are to be believed, we can all turn our attention to when the Xbox One Fall Guys could drop. The release of Season 2 would be a logical choice - and draw a new crowd to the already massive game - however, Mediatonic has to make it official first.

Elsewhere, everyone's asking when we'll get a mobile version of Fall Guys. Although Chinese company Bilibili has secured the rights to Fall Guys Mobile over there, it's currently unclear when/if it will be given a wider release. For now, it looks like Nintendo players are the only ones left out in the cold.

Also, as we gallop toward the release of the Xbox Series X, everyone will be dying to know if Microsoft will join Sony's lofty ambitions of a potential next-gen Fall Guys. We'll keep our ears close to the ground and keep you updated when we know more.
