Elden Ring is hard. Just in case you missed the memo.
The game is just as tough as its FromSoftware predecessors, joining the long list of punishments that FromSoftware made popular with Dark Souls as a brutal, if beautiful, trek across the Lands Between.
The game has been a hit with fans, despite its ducking calls for an 'easy mode' of the title. But that doesn't mean such a mode isn't wanted and with it not being provided by the developers, fans have taken it into their own hands, creating an Elden Ring easy mode mod that has become massively popular.
Elden Ring Has An Easy Mode Mod
Finally, an Elden Ring we can actually manage to play.
A new mod by creator Odashikonbu that adds an easy mode to the game has now been downloaded 5,000 times since releasing on March 12, making it one of the most popular mods for Elden Ring to grace the Nexus Mods site.
The mod, simply titled Easy Mode for Elden Ring, offers players more runes, more defensive capabilities and more damage output to make the game a little simpler, and make the bosses a lot easier to take down.
The mod comes with three different modes to allow players to personally tweak the experience of the FromSoftware game, a feature that many fans have wanted for years now.
What Other Elden Ring Mods Are Popular Right Now?
Right now, the Easy Mode mod is only topped by four other mods contenting for the title of the most popular Elden Ring mod of all time.
Right now, sdfjioejwiofj's Elden Ring Ultimate Cheat Table is number one, joined on the top five by another cheat table. There's also an anti-cheat toggler so that players can activate their mods with ease, and a mod loader to help their mods into the game in the first place.
The game's modding scene is already huge, and it's clear that an Easy Mode was high on players' lists of requests. Thank goodness, even players as feeble as ourselves can hack the Lands Between.
