A new year means only one thing for EA FC fans.

There are no resolutions on the table for this community, just an extra 10% being placed towards the grind for packs and Player Picks, as the time is here to crown the Team of the Year and get those all-important players into your teams.

But as EA FC ramps up its global hype over the old FIFA series, the inaugural EA FC 24 Team of the Year will actually be aired on mainstream TV.

EA FC TOTY to feature on a special CBS Golazo segment

The CBS Soccer Golazo show has become a staple of the footballing industry in the past year, with journalist personnel Kate Abdo playing peacemaker and devil's advocate while babysitting the trio of Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.

The show, mainly covering the UEFA Champions League, will now play host to a special episode, where Abdo, Carragher, and Richards will be joined by fellow pundit turned EA FC Hero Alex Scott, and will feature interviews with TOTY frontrunners from both the men's and women's game: Jude Bellingham and Alexia Putellas, respectively.

In usual fashion, the high-energy show will throw professionalism out of the window and see the six football personalities crack jokes as the debate over who they feel should be crowned as the elite XI players in both the men's and women's games.

How to vote for the EA FC 24 TOTY

While the EA FC 24 TOTY Kickoff show will air on January 8, this will also mark the date when the votes will open.

Players will be able to visit the EA FC website to cast their votes as of January 8, where they will select eleven men and eleven women from the nominees (TBA) as the best players of 2023.

As usual, there might be some slight differences between those seen in the CBS show, who will be focusing solely on footballing ability throughout the year, and the votes cast by EA FC 24 players, who might throw in some curveballs to get their favourable Ultimate Team cards selected instead.
