EA FC 24 bug is making defenders and goalkeepers even more useless

A new EA FC 24 bug is making defenders and goalkeepers even more useless than they already are.

Ultimate Team players will have gotten quite used to the EA FC 24 nuances in the last few weeks.

It's currently a game of understanding playstyles; Trickster dribbling, Long Ball specialists, and Finesse Shot advocates are running the game, with the latter especially being one of the best methods of finding the ball in the back of your opponent's net over and over again.

But it doesn't help that these finesse shots are bending past absolutely useless goalkeepers and even more hapless defenders. And now these geriatric guards of the goal are riddled with bugs which makes them less use than a chocolate fireguard.

EA FC 24 bug is making keepers get butterfingers

In our youth, we'd mock this bug as "poppadom wrists", where goalies would have hands that would simply crumble to a million pieces at the first contact with a football and make ordinary saves fly through your tips. Others might be more familiar with the classic "butterfingers".

EA FC 24 goalkeepers are now being lubed up with lard all over their hands though, as the ball is going straight through their hitboxes and into the back of the net, even with the most comfortable of saves.

One fan posted this glitch to Reddit, where a simple shot passed straight through their character's hands, and then straight through their shoulder, as if they were a ghost.

EA FC 24 fans are convinced RNG is deciding goals before they go in

With this glitch appearing on Reddit, another fan also posted a similar bug where the ball travelled directly through their defender mid-slide tackle, and now fans are convinced that EA has deployed an RNG-based mechanic that decides when a goal is deserved (yes, the good old scripting shout).

"The goal is already decided before leaving the player's foot," claimed one fan. Another added, "EA thought it was a great idea to use RNG in a physics-based game."

Another fan agreed that EA has deployed this system, but argued that they need to make it more convincing. "I personally think it's fine If FC decides before if a goal or not based on the stats, but at least they should make sure it looks realistic and not make it feel like a betrayal," they said.

"I've played Battlefield, Battlefront, and so many other multiplayer games and yet this franchise is the only one where I can lose and it is not my fault," the original poster added.

Until EA FC rolls out a patch though, you'll have to scrub up on your attacking skills, as it could be a case of the Bielsa-ball tactic: "I'll just score more than you."
