New content based on the Saw movies is coming to Dead by Daylight, but it might not be exactly what fans are after as Jigsaw makes a return.

Dead by Daylight, since release, has become the co-op horror game. It's (thankfully) earning lessons from Friday The 13th: The Game to become a melting pot of spooky iconography. Bringing in the likes of Leatherface, Pinhead, Pyramid Head and other horror icons across pop culture, the survival horror has become the ultimate way to live out your own straight-to-DVD spooky story.

The game's crossovers are easily the biggest part of the title, and it doesn't seem like they're willing to slow down with them any time soon, as a new crossover is on the way.

Dead By Daylight Is Getting New Saw Content

Though Dead by Daylight has already collaborated with the horror titan that is Saw, it looks like once wasn't enough. A new set of themed items will be coming to the game, bringing with it some new cosmetics for players to collect.

The next update for DbD will come with a new in-game mission, tasking players to find the Book of Saw in order to earn some new cosmetics, like new getups for The Pig and Tapp. That's not all, though - the update is also coming with a wealth of other cosmetics, too.

But, as more Saw content appears in-game, fans have one question on their minds - where's Jigsaw?

Is Dead By Daylight Getting A Jigsaw Playable Character?

Though The Pig is exciting alone, what fans have really wanted is the appearance of the iconic Jigsaw to coincide with these new additions to the game. Sadly, though, it doesn't look like he'll be showing up any time soon.

Though Tobin Bell reprises his role as the killer in the reveal trailer for this new content in voice alone, and sadly, it's probably the only taste of Jigsaw that Dead By Daylight fans are likely to catch. Still, he's in Warzone, so that's… something.

The new content should keep players engaged, and the game's connection to its IPs remains impressive. As long as the killers keep on coming, we're sure fans aren't likely to leave the game behind any time soon.
