The Wolf of Vegas Legion is not f'in leaving. James "Clayster" Eubanks is a legend of Call of Duty. The legacy that he has written is one of fabled history, as the three-times world champion is one of the only "original" CoD-fathers left.

But after just missing out on another Champs attendance tally, as Vegas Legion's Cinderella run in Major IV and V ended with a snapped heel of the glass slipper, many fans expected that this might be the final hurdle for the oldest professional left. Yet they were sorely mistaken.

Clayster confirms he will not be retiring

Ratifying his motto of "feed me to the wolves and I'll come back leading the pack," Clayster has rebuffed his reputation in the 2023/23 campaign. Despite just falling short of Champs qualification, he'll be rallying a band of outlaws together to become a serious force at the end of the season.

And now his story is not over. With rumours circulating about the future of his career, Clayster has now ended any retirement talk. He clearly still loving his time in the field, and has told the world that his story is not over yet.

While on the analyst desk at the World Championships, Clayster confirmed that he will not be retiring and will continue to play in the 2023/24 season when it kicks off after the launch of Modern Warfare 3.

Is Clayster retiring from Call of Duty?

When serving as a special guest analyst on the broadcast team at the World Championships, Clayster confirmed that he is still chasing the dream of more chips and rings, before outright confirming his commitment to playing again next season.

This will keep him as the oldest player in the league as he will continue to redefine Vegas Legion (likely) in the hope of getting at least one more championship before bowing out as an undisputed legend. As for which team he will be on, that's yet to be seen.

Clayster will undoubtedly want to put up a bit more of a fight than in last season where they finished ninth. Having started to build Legion's fan base from the ground up, they will likely want to keep him on board, but whether they will be able to supply him with more than a trio of minimum-salary players will be the ultimatum.
