Inside every OG Call of Duty player is a burning hatred for General Shepherd. Not the reboot's version, his strange assassination at the hands of Captain Price was nowhere near as satisfying as that throwing knife scene.

The betrayal of the original callous villain was by far the most heartbreaking Call of Duty moment ever, as Shepherd roasted Ghost and Roach before our very eyes. Now, we're being forced to relive this dark day all over again as Modern Warfare 3 has reintroduced the scene as a finisher move in multiplayer.

MW3 adds Shepherd's finishing move versus Ghost

Over the years, the finishing moves in Call of Duty have gotten more creative. King Kong is yeeting folk through the skies, and there are even skin-changers in the game where assassinating an enemy harnesses Arya Stark's face-changing abilities to steal the Operator outfit of your foe.

An upcoming finisher titled "Tactical Gasoline" makes us relive our worst memories, though. Dataminer "BobNetworkUK" has showcased an upcoming move where the player will pour gasoline over their enemy before setting them alight with a lighter.

It almost perfectly mirrors that of General Shepherd versus Ghost from back in the days of MW2, although the vengeful tyrant used a cigar to burn our characters. "Now just add [a] General Shepherd operator to the game and do that to a Ghost skin," said a fan.

Someone else added, "I’ll never forgive Shepherd for the mental anguish he put me through at 12 years old," and a third said, "This execution is more brutal than the entire campaign of MWIII." Hopefully, this will be the only iconic death scene from the campaign. We can't deal with giving Soap CPR on every map or reliving Mason's fate all over again.
