Call of Duty hasn't held back when it comes to collaborations, and while some fans remain critical of this approach, it does mean exciting new cosmetics are always available in the store.
Whether it's Lara Croft, Nicki Minaj, Spawn, or even Lilith from Diablo 4, the Mil-Sim theme has been tossed to the wayside by Activision.
With Season 6 live and well underway, the first thing fans began to speculate about was future crossovers coming to CoD. Well, while John Wick may still be a pipe dream, a leak has revealed that a DUNE x Call of Duty collab is coming soon.
DUNE x Call of Duty collaboration leaked
Taking to Twitter on September 27, popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL revealed that dataminers have found a DUNE x CoD crossover in the files.
According to leakers, the bundle itself is called the DUNE Part Two: Sadaukar Pack, and based on the image, it appears to contain an incredibly cool looking Operator.
It's safe to say a lot of players are excited about the future crossover, with some even remarking that the suits give off "Infinite Warfare vibes." "This will be the first bundle I purchase," said one user, with another claiming "This is actually pretty sick."
Does the DUNE x Call of Duty crossover have a release date?
Currently, the DUNE crossover has no official release date, so it's impossible to predict when it's going to come out.
However, the pack itself is related to the second film, so it was likely scheduled to be released in November when Dune: Part Two was originally set to arrive in cinemas.
Following the SAG-AFTRA strike, the film has been pushed back to March of 2024, so it'll be interesting to see whether CoD will go ahead with the release of the cosmetics in November or wait until next year.
