Call of Duty's crossover game has weakened in recent months, as attention has been diverted towards the launch and stabilisation of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's new map.
But, hot off the back of the second The Boys collaboration, the first of which marks the first major crossover for Modern Warfare 3, dataminers have unearthed another deal in the pipeline for Call of Duty.
According to reports, leaked images of a Warhammer 40K crossover have been found in Modern Warfare 3 files.
Call of Duty x Warhammer leaked by dataminers
Call of Duty's collaborations already include quite an impressive catalogue of franchises, with the likes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Diablo, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and more.
But it appears Warhammer 40K will be the next big partnership, bringing forth characters from the lore-heavy universe.
The datamine includes key art of the potential Warhammer 40K crossover, and while there aren't too many more leaks detailing the extent of the said collab, its inclusion in the game files only eludes to the two franchises combining.
Could we finally get Henry Cavill in the Call of Duty universe?
Rumour once had it that Henry Cavill, the infamous face behind Superman and Geralt of Rivia, was to appear in a live-action Call of Duty movie, likely serving as Captain Price.
That doesn't seem to be coming soon though, if at all. But Cavill recently signed a massive deal with Amazon to produce a plethora of Warhammer 40K films and series, and even feature in them himself.
Maybe, this Call of Duty crossover could finally be Cavill's calling, which would be ironic given The Boys Superman knock-off that is darting around.
