A free Baldur's Gate 3 Valentine’s Day update is on its way which will only increase the games sex appeal with “improved smooches” and forehead kisses on the way.

It is no secret that Baldur’s Gate 3 leans into the sexy side of life with sex speedruns and plenty of usual characters to romance.
A free Valentine’s Day update is on its way which will only increase the games sex appeal with “improved smooches” and forehead kisses on the way.
Better kisses are coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 this Valentine’s Day
In a recent tweet, Larian confirmed that Patch 6 would be released next week and it seems to be no coincidence that it is releasing around Valentine’s Day.
The tweet said: “Love is in the air in Faerûn, and we've made improvements to locking lips with your romantic partner!”
“Releasing next week, Patch 6 includes improved smooches, new camp idle animations, new Legendary Actions in Honour Mode, and plenty of bug fixes.”
Accompanying the tweet, a video showing Astarion and Halsin smooching and then the latter giving Astarion a tender forehead kiss gives a hint as to what's to come.
Namely, a lot of kissing.
Not much else has been shared about what will be in the update exactly, however Larian have promised it will be a “hefty” one.

Despite several players already having hundreds of hours in the game, the idea of heading back into Baldur’s Gate to show their beloved a bit more affection seems to have drawn them back in.
One Twitter user wrote: “Forehead kiss! The best gift for the new year.”
“The little forehead kiss is all I need,” another player shared excitedly.
A third commenter wrote: “Nothing else would have mattered! Guess I'm forced to reinstall to better smooch my Astarion.”
Several people expressed that they had 600 to 1000 hours in Baldur’s Gate 3 already but would be jumping right back in on the 14th.
Now players will be able to go all out in romancing the Mind Flayers, bears and whatever else of their dreams by giving them forehead smooches.
Until the patch notes are released we won’t know exactly what the new update could bring, but it is great to see Larian adding small updates that will bring joy to love-struck players everywhere.
